A Place

There is a place for our hearts
where our unblemished love reigns,
where our spirits go
when love is needed
more than life itself.

There is a place for our souls
where faith,
and fantasy,
trust,
and dreams,
become reality
for a fleeting second,
one that feels like forever.


There is a place for our love
where responsibility,
and others expectations,
and societies walls
simply don't reside.
A universe apart spirits touch
and hearts melt together into one.

There is a separate reality for our love,
where life's sidewalk ends,
and our special pathway begins.
Where naught resides
other than love
and tenderness.
A God-blessed place
where all our dreams come true.

We go to this place
and wish we could stay.
