Aftermath
Aftermath
By Rich Reith
I feel your body, soft against my chest.
Breaths move your body in ways that beguile.
The sweet scent of your hair my heart arrests,
Then you gently stir and quietly smile.
Moments of loving in moments of calm,
After lovemaking's bloomed and lovers embrace.
Warm silky skin against your lovers palm,
And I lay here entranced by your tranquil face.
With all of the wonder, passion and bliss
We bring to each other as husband and wife,
My heart most recalls moments like this –
As I smile and thank God, that you’re in my life.
