The Handyman
The Handyman
By Rich Reith

His muscles flex as hammer meets nail.
Sweat trickling down his chiseled face.
She smiles as he ponders each detail
Knowing she'd rather be no other place.

Stopping now, together they stand
and admire perfection in every stair.
Together as one, hand in hand,
Pride in this symbol of his loving care

His creation rises like the eagle's flight
Straight and true like the man she loves,
Who in this life is her shining knight.
And she gives her thanks to God above.
